The Bible tells us that Jesus is the Son of God, who came into the world to show us God’s love in the clearest way possible. He wasn’t just a good man or wise teacher, He is God in human form.
The Gospel of John puts it simply:
“For God loved the world in this way: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16, CSB)
Jesus entered a broken world full of pain, questions, and sin. Instead of staying distant, God chose to come near. Jesus lived among us, showing compassion to the hurting, healing the sick, welcoming children, and even befriending those who felt like outsiders.
But His purpose was even greater than teaching or healing, He came to deal with the problem that separates us from God: sin. Sin is anything that pulls us away from God, selfishness, pride, brokenness.
And the Bible tells us
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23, CSB)
Jesus did for us what we could never do on our own. He died on the cross, taking the punishment for sin, and then rose again three days later defeating death and offering us new life. His resurrection is proof that He truly is who He said He was: the Son of God, the Savior of the world.
Because of Jesus, you don’t have to be defined by your past, your doubts, or your failures. He offers forgiveness, hope, and a new beginning.
“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6, CSB)
So, who is Jesus?
He is God’s Son.
He is the Savior who gave His life for you.
He is alive today, offering you hope, forgiveness, and a relationship with God.
And the best part? He invites you---just as you are----to know Him.
